About

About Balkan Mechanic

A specialized B2B recruitment resource helping European employers understand and find mechanic profiles from the Western Balkans.

Workshop manager and mechanic discussing technical work beside a vehicle.

Why we exist

Most technical vacancies fail before they are published

“Mechanic” is not one profession. It covers automotive, mechatronics, truck, bus, diesel, heavy equipment, construction, industrial, agricultural and fleet specialists — trades that work on different machines, in different environments, to different standards.

When an employer advertises for a “mechanic” without that distinction, the result is predictable: a pile of applications from people who do not fit, screened by a workshop manager who has no time to do it.

Balkan Mechanic exists to fix the step before recruitment. We explain what each profile actually does, how the roles differ, which industries need which specialists and what employers should verify — so that by the time you publish a vacancy, it describes a real role.

  • Specialized B2B recruitment resource
  • Employer-focused, not candidate-focused
  • Ten distinct mechanic specializations covered
  • Six industry sectors addressed separately
  • Western Balkans regional focus
  • Discovery layer for Candidate Force

Scope

What Balkan Mechanic is — and is not

What we are

  • An informational resource for employers
  • A guide to distinguishing mechanic specializations
  • A source of practical hiring and assessment guidance
  • An entry point to the Candidate Force platform

What we are not

  • Not a job board or candidate portal
  • Not a recruitment agency
  • Not a vehicle repair or DIY resource
  • Not a legal, immigration or work-permit advisor

Our relationship with Candidate Force

Where this site ends and recruitment begins

Balkan Mechanic and Candidate Force both operate within the AHS Dynamics LLP digital ecosystem, but they do different jobs.

This site helps you decide what you need. Candidate Force is where you explore profiles, publish vacancies and manage applications. English-language visitors continue on candidateforce.com; German-language visitors on candidateforce.de.

Candidate Force operates under its own terms of use and privacy policy, which apply once you follow a link there.

  • We publish no vacancies on this site
  • We hold no candidate accounts or CVs
  • We process no job applications
  • All recruitment activity happens on Candidate Force

Standards

What we deliberately do not claim

We do not state that every mechanic is fully certified, that all candidates speak German, that mechanics are available immediately, or that work permits are guaranteed. We publish no candidate numbers, placement counts, client logos or success rates that we cannot verify. Employers should verify individual qualifications, experience, language level and documentation in every case.

This is a deliberate choice. Recruitment marketing about the Western Balkans is often built on promises nobody can keep, and those promises damage employers and candidates alike when they turn out to be untrue.

Where we describe what profiles “may include”, we mean exactly that — a possibility to verify, not a guarantee to rely on.
